Luke, Andy and Steve
Intelligent and common sense Moxey, Way off beam on this one mate, you're playing like Rooney in the last England match. Jason Lyons went off to Poole at the time because he felt it was in his best interests but I will be welcoming him back to the Aces this year. People moev clubs in Speedway much more than they do in football If I were Schlein, I would be asking you...well last season Jason Crump and I were fighting tooth and nail for Belle Vue's cause away from home in the Lions Den where it hurts and where it counts when some of my teamates were trundling round with no interest and no desire to fight for Belle Vue, that;s if they bothered to turn up in the first place.....tell me what you think about that Moxey? SChlein has nothing to prove to Belle Vue, some of his teamates certainly have BAZ |

BrianRenshaw,
I was under the illusion that Jason Lyons was shoved out in favour of Screen last season. I |

Every rider, in every country, whether it be Britain, Sweden or Poland, changes clubs because of the points limit or other constraints. The days of a Collins, Morton or Wilkie being able to stay with the club they started with, is consigned to history...unfortunately. Remember rider control takng Ivan Mauger from BV to Exeter? These things happen, and rider loyalty is a concept incompatible with the system. Will people get of Rory's back over this issue? He doesn't owe BV anything; BV owes Rory a vote of thanks for his Herculean efforts last season, and good luck to the lad, wherever he ends up next year.

Well said, Sammy. Who knows - he may return some day and I'm sure we'd be glad to see him back. You don't always get your preferred riders straight away.

how can you say that if you were offered 2 jobs you'd always take the 1 with the most cash! you don't say i'll take your job and then when someone at the last moment offers you more say no way to your original offer mate i'm gonna jump ship! whats the point of still buying Rory if he's never going to ride for us? he's made his bed now let him go good ridence and lets move on! don't even use him as a guest because you'd never know if he'd be giving 100% JASON CRUMPS REACTION SAYS IT ALL!!!!! money isn't everything and he'll have to learn the hard way!!!

Steve,
I see you are a train driver. Now I don't know which company employs you but I imagine that you chose to work for that particular company. Picking a couple of names out of the hat let's say you work for Virgin Rail, I don't suppose that you applied to Arriva and some official said to you "Sorry, mate, you can't work here. You have to work for Virgin" When I was 18 I had to do 2 years National Service but I wasn't put into the army. We were given the choice of Army, Air Force or Navy. I chose the army. In the army we were, to some extent, given the choice of which arm of the service we went into. I chose the medical services and to the medical services I was allocated. You see, Steve, even in the service of King and country we had some choice. Rory Schlein is a professional speedway rider, that's his day-to-day occupation. He had the free choice of employers and he chose Coventry. We do not know why he chose that particular employer and it is no concern of ours. Before making his choice he said how much he enjoyed his season at Belle Vue and spoke highly of the fans. I respect the man for those comments. We should not risk spoiling the respect he has for us by slating him for changing his job. Personally, I am grateful to him for his service to the club in 2004 and look forward to seeing him in Coventry colours next year. I just hope that each Ace he rides against, on either track, outscores him! No hard feelings, Rory, and good fortune to you. Ron. |

2) Rory was never ours to start with - don't imply that he was ours for the taking because it's not true. He was made two offers and finally accepted one, having considered both. 3) Why do you think Belle Vue is inherently better than Coventry for the rider? He's spoken to both sets of management and made a choice. 4) These things happen, no fault and no blame. Get over it. Life goes on and we'll end up with a competitive team, but we should do so graciously and wish Rory luck. Sounds like you've had a big dose of sour grapes!

Sheffield then Edinburgh gave Schlein his chance. We cottoned on when he was a rising talent, otherwise he might have been registered by Belle Vue in the first place.
