Yeah, that crash did PC in, all because the Dudley Wood leg couldn't be postponed due to it nearing November. I remember it had rained for days and the match should have been put off. Subsequently PC suffered his arm injury, Morton pulled out of the match with double vision after falling/being knocked-off, and Cradley overturned something like a 26-point deficit from the first leg against a makeshift Aces side.

Ihave fond memorys of Hyde Road..cant remember first ever meeting but was early 70/s P.Collins/c.morton/g.pusey/p.tyrer/r.hodgson.s.josten.. just a few names i recall.i was a snotty nosed school kid back then..stopped going just after PC,s world champ win..started going again briefly with Neil Owen son of taffy owen i can recall visiting russ hodgson in hospital after a nasty crash..started going regularly this year after a 30 year abscense..still gives me a buzz

My first meeting was September 2005 aged 14. My family aren't speedway fans so it all down to Sky. I went to the 2nd leg of the Grand Final against Coventry. The team was:

My first meeting was in 1971 when I was only 1 year old. Cant remember who we were against, I was only 1. Addicted then and still addicted now.

Knockout Cup Final 1970. Aces vs Wimbledon. Enormous crowd.

It was also the last meeting of the season so I had to wait another five months for my second 'fix'
