Good to see plenty of people signing up so far, can you also put your 1-9 league predictions in the other thread too.

Also the first meeting at Glasgow won't be counting towards the prediction league but we are going to use a new system for predictions this year and want to give it a test so can you put a prediction on the link below.

Default Tshirt Xpress Website

Hi Tim,

Yes the website address is www.expresstees.org.uk and if you press on the catalogue link below the picture of the guy and the girl, you will go straight into our catalogue.

You choose the type of clothing you want, then call the shop, mention my name or the unofficial website and Anita, Curtis or Sean will price it for you and give you the 20% discount.

We produce good quality shirts, Fruit of the Loom, Gildane etc and as a result of contracts with ITV and Channel 4, we produce printed tee shirts and sweatshirts for Coronation Street, Hollyoaks, Brittania High, The Krypton Factor, the X Factor, Dancing on Ice and the X Factor Tour and Dancing on Ice Tour.

Glad to see you back with us this year Tim

Brian

Default Tim Fisher

That's what happens when you go on the last page first!

Apologies Tim, sorry you can't play this year!

As Rob says a brilliant early response this year to league registration and a chance with the Glasgow friendly to practise a runthrough and don't forget the automatic cut out if you try to post after the official match start time.

Will post in a minute with the slight changes to the scoring for this coming year

Baz

Default Points Scoring for 2009 Prediction League

There is some fine tuning to the Bonus Points System this year and the overall method of scoring is as follows;

Predict the match result correctly .i.e
Home win 2 pts
Draw 2 pts
Away win 2 pts

In addition, bonus points are awarded for the following

Correct match Score 6 pts
or
Correct Aces Score 4 pts
or
Within 1 point of Aces Score 2 pts
or
Within 3 points of Aces Score 1 pt

There are no bonus points awarded this year if you are more than 3 points off the Aces score.

Only matches where the Aces ride as a team in a competitive match (Elite League (including play-offs), Knock out Cups, Craven Shield etc) count towards scoring.

Your first post will be the only one I can take. If you post a second or third time with a revised score, only your first post will count.

If a match is rained off/abandoned all forecasts are void.

If a match is stopped but sufficient heats have been run for the result to count then that result and match score will also count for the purposes of the Prediction League as there will be no re-run of that particular fixture.

You will be able to post early predictions for forthcoming matches if you have holidays coming up.

If you do not post for 5 consecutive matches your current position in the league will be offered to anyone who wants to play but missed the opening registration.

We now have 36 entrants registered but with some of our regular names still missing Dogsbody, DS etc etc.

For the sake of managing the league smoothly, 50 would seem to be the maximum number of players so if you are still undecided whether to play, don't take too long or you might miss out for this year.

The best of luck to everyone, surely Brads 1 can't walk away with it this year!

Baz

Like the new scoring Brian, but don't see how this bit can work, if say meeting is abandoned after 12 heats the only people who are going to be close to the score is anyone who predicted a low score who then would have been well out if it had gone 15 heats. Would of thought should be void if doesn't go 15 heats.

Rob,
Completely open minded on the abandoned matches issue, what I had in mind is that virtually no one will pick up a bonus point anyway but if you had forecast an aces home win, they were winning and that result also stood as an Elite League result then you might think you should get the 2 points. Happy to render the match void if the general feeling is that way inclined.

I'm on both sides here - I think you should score according to win, lose or draw, but I also think bonus points should be null and void because like Rob says, the only people who would get any would be the ones who would be miles out if the match was finished.

Yep thats fine cancel the bonus points but still give out meeting points on incomplete matches.
