Default Fixture chaos........Poles suffering..........

The play-off final between Zielona Gora and Torun was arranged for last Sunday and next.

Sunday at ZG was rained off and rearranged for tonight (Tuesday).

This has now been rained off again and the legs switched so that ZG will host on the 18th., and Torun the Sunday after.

May seem distant to many of us, but some keen UK fans had already booked tickets (and flights) to Torun on Sunday, only to see the matches switched. One guy on the S/way Forum had booked 38 tickets!

(ZG tried to dry out the track today by burning tyres on it! See link below)

Now at BV, that meeting would have been on.
As opposed to using burnt tyres, the Gorton scallies could have deposited burnt out CARS on the Kirkie Lane Hallowed Shale.
Problem solved.

Rob, thanks for the start time mate.
I will be watching with interest here at 7.00am Sunday morning.

Another top venue eh?
Jack, ta for the pics mate.

Dateline Zielona Gora 22nd October..............off again.......

Full stadium (around 14,000), raced one heat and then rider power seems to have taken over........

They are even talking about shifting the 'home' leg to Bydgoszcz.

Even the BSPA couldn't get it this wrong! (Or maybe they could)

I attach below the Microsoft translation of the news on the Polish Speedway site:

Finale revoked! In this day? 2009-10-22 19:17:00 Daniel Smith retrieved TVP Sport
Scheduled today finale Speedway Ekstraligi has been revoked for the fourth time (!). New appointment is yet unknown. Finale became duress, which game you need a longer unless nobody is unlikely. Tor in FinałZielonej top not usable driving although not commute from a few days. As so forth goes this sooner held Championships in Icespeedwayu in Tomasz Beksiński committed suicide than League żużlowej.
-Is very difficult. All we wanted to odjechać this meeting. However, horse EC four threatens only something on karambolem. I don't know what's next. This track is not dry. This track in such conditions, it is simply impossible, said Niels k. Ivars.
-Health primarily, but also healthy rivalry. Finale to be meeting two decent rivals. Track must be well prepared. Players and judge jointly decide. We we were all to prepare it. If favourable conditions we will it prepare. Unfortunately, aura not rozpieszcza two days ago they answered. It is very cold. Hence our problems. We cannot do anything to strength, said President Robert Dohwan Falubazu.
-No jeżdżę first Speedway and perfectly knew that no pojedziemy. Riders left myself to show fans, that, on this ground cannot go. On the track is istna plasticine. Motorcycle riding nothing after the glue. We will not jeopardize their health after this on the strength of odjechać this match, said Adrian Miedziński.

Pretty much sums it up, yes??
