BELLE Vue will roll back the years when they open their 2010 campaign with the War of the Roses match at Sheffield on March 18.
It is much more than a seasonal pipe opener for the Elite League Aces against their traditional rivals who now race in the Premier League.
Pride will be at stake for the teams and their supporters, not forgetting team managers Chris Morton and Eric Boocock.

FANS wishing to register for the Belle Vue Quizmasters competition at the stadium on Press and Practice day, March 15, need to do so by next Tuesday, March 9.
The quiz, which starts at 7.15 in the downstairs bar, will include two teams of riders. It will cost £5 admission, which includes a hotpot supper, and £1 per person to enter the quiz. Teams can be for up to four people.

 PLANS for Belle Vue to have a £6m dream new home were revealed this week.
The Manchester Evening News reported speedway's best kept secret that the Aces have been holding talks for two years to move just 100 metres along Kirkmanshulme Lane in Gorton.
The club race at the Belle Vue greyhound stadium but negotiations for a move into a state-of-the-art arena at the Council-owned hockey facility next door are understood to be at an advanced stage.

BELLE Vue riders will have their brains tested as well as their bikes when the club have their eve-of-season Press and Practice day on Monday, March 15.
The day-long session on track will be followed by a quiz in the evening with the riders putting up two of the teams.
The competition for the Belle Vue Quizmasters title will be held in the downstairs bar (7.15 start) with a maximum of 50 teams with no more than four people per team.
It will cost £5 admission, which includes a hotpot supper, and £1 per person to enter the quiz.
