BELLE Vue boss Chris Morton today stressed that Eastbourne were only given permission to approach club asset Tomasz Jedrzejak after trying to fit him into the Aces side.
The Polish rider, who joined the Eagles today, had signalled his interest in returning to race in Britain and the Autogate Aces had first call on his services. Jedrzejak, 30, first joined the Aces in 2001 but several attempts to bring him back to the club failed until a recent change of heart. Morton said: “We have been talking to Tomasz and looking at ways of getting him back into our team. But his average of 5.44 was too high for us to be able to accommodate him. “That's why we gave Eastbourne permission to talk to him when they showed an interest.” Jedrzejak has signed on loan to replace the injured Dawid Lampart.
