All in all, much better performances needed next Mon, or we out of cup. Bad thing is Poole, looked good on tele last night.
They were never 10 behind!

i'll go further than Rob i thought we were a disgrace last night and were very very lucky to get away with it against a 5 man team i think if Complin had ridden we'd have been in trouble! certain riders in our team need to take a long hard look in the mirror and a long hard look at there equipment. i don't agree that the track was better as bends 3 an 4 looked trecherous nearly every lap had someone in trouble on those bends

Their were only 3 riders last night that did something for us That being Kasprzak, Hougarrd and Wright who battled all night the others did nothing Morten didn`t look quick until the 5-1 we got. Lyons didn`t seem to be that quick apart from leading Watt for 3 bends in ht14. Charlie would have been beaten by the juniors with ease if he was riding with them. And Ulrich may well have have a eastbourne racejacket on as he blocked our riders more than theirs. He messed wright and hougaard up a lot during the races with them especially the race with Paddy, where Patrick did all the work trying to close down Watt only for ulrich to constantly get in his way block him, just like he did to wright. Ulrich then messed hougaard up on the 3rd bend of lap 4 when he blocked him and let kling go through and relegate Patrick to the back . But I think a couple of riders know we won`t bring anyone new in, so there is no need for them to try hard. And if we did sign anyone it will certainly be from the premierleague. And i can only see the next 2 meeting being massacres against the Robins and Pirates.

I'm not too sure what we are all expecting the team to do between now and the end of the season because of all the speculation and let downs surrounding the team being re-built up to the higher points level, but i'm pretty certain that Dave Gordon and Chris Morton are not settling for a patchwork side.

I do however have concerns like all fans that Poole could beat us on Monday if a solid performance isnt put in by the whole team and that really means that KK and Charlie have to score double points (not between them! LOL)

Patrick and Morten make excellent reserves but at 3 & 4 they will have a hard time if they dont gate and between them they seem to ride very similar lines, although i was encouraged to see Patrick use some of the dirt coming out of the 2nd turn to good effect last night.

The reserves have to beat their counterparts in the races and we need a slice of luck.

i don't think we'll get through!! unless we doctor the track to something they won't expect!! we won't have enough heat winners end of story

Finally got some time to write a few things about this meeting. Like I said last night, despite us getting all 3 points it felt like a poor Belle Vue performance. When we found out it was Complin for Bridger expected an easy win but then when Complin couldn't ride should have been even easier. We just weren't gating at all, this did make it pretty entertaining though with quite a lot of passing but also frustrating.

For Belle Vue

Kasprzak : rode well apart from second ride which he made a mess of but quickly scared Kling diving up the inside of him

Wright : best performance at Belle Vue for weeks, made couple of decent gates but also passed from behind couple of times, gave it his all against Woodward in heat 15

Hougaard : started off really well first 3 rides, looked like our quickest rider, unfortunate in his last one, didn't make the gate, was trying everything to pass Kling and open the gap for Ostergaard but Ostergaard didn't wait and ended up taking Hougaard out

Risager : first two rides were quite poor then won his third ride by a mile

Gjedde : very poor, first three rides his bike was sputtering like mad looked bit better towards the end but couldn't find a way past Dryml

Lyons : decent ride in heat 2 but then had two poor rides including a fall, a surprise that he came out in heat 14 but rode brilliant first bend to pass Watt but Watt got back past end of first lap.

Ostergaard : not a great performance but consistent, still looks out of control sometimes

For Eastbourne, think Davey Watt had his best ever meeting round Kirky Lane, unbeaten till heat 15, Woodward did well, Dryml was ok if he gated, poor if he didn't and Gustafsson and Kling were either winning races or miles at the back!

Remember that bet i offered £100 that Lyons comes out in heat 14 and no one took me up on that offer We have a team manager who won't make changes and that's why we are going out of the ko cup. We need a miracle.
