Poole on April 26th, with Swindon the day after. If I could afford a double bill and a stay over, I'd be tempted to go down on Ron's coach with you guys for those two but I doubt it very much!!!! [B)]

There is more chance of me wearing a red and white scarf in the Stretford End, sorry I mean West Stand, than the Aces winning tomorrow. If we hold them to less than double figures, that will be an acheivement. Had Screen been riding, then things would certainly be different, but sadly he is not.
Howzabout the result then, Tony!!??

RJ,

I am pinning up your entry above in the office tomorrow alongside the picture of 1,000 Indians encircling a lone unarmed cowboy.Over the Picture it says "Always believe you can defeat the enemy whatever the odds". Your belief that the Aces will win at the East of England Showground ranks just as highly as that picture for unbridled optimism of the highest order.

If the Aces do win, I will happily pay your entrance fee at Kirky Lane for the next 5 home games.

I love your entry, is your address Fantasy Island, Leicester by the way.

I hope I really have to eat my words on Thursday night but I think I might be eating a Twix instead.

Regards RJ from

Bet you were sweatng for a while there, Brian!!!

Not really George but I was hoping against hope that I would be wrong. I thought Heat 14 would be our downfall and so it proved.

With only 5 riders contributing tonight, it was a monumental performance from the Aces to get that near.

If Screenie is fit on Monday Poole will be there for the taking, I nhope to goodness he is and that James can come to the party, too many poor scores in his first two matches

Well done Aces

Great performance by all accounts. Surprise packet again was Phil M on a track he really doesn't like. With Joe riding, we would have won.

Had the Aces manged a 5-0 in Heat 15, I guess I would have been banished to the West Stand - even the frozen white wilds have Canada have appeal, when set aside that!!

Brian..

I think that KBs engine gremlins were our downfall on the nite! Still a great performace at the home of the Panthers. Certainly was not the mauling that a few anticipated. Plus well on track for the BP!!

What a cruel ending with Kenneth packing up a matter of yards from the line, still gutted and what made it worse was that it was andersen who passed him,and he was treated like a hero when in actual fact it was pure luck, dont think half there fans realised bjerre had packed up though!
Still, loads of room for optimism after last night, might quell some of the pessimism on here!Must admit i didnt fancy us last night though
myself and the reident betting experts took a beating also on the aces superb performance!
