I'm gonna guess it aint happening because we only have two meetings left at home if we dont progress past coventry in the cup.

If we don't progress past Coventry in the cup we won't have any matches left after 5 October.
So with practically the whole of October to go at there's plenty of time to run the Craven meeting...and the management said it will be run at the end of the season.

Yes but its not that easy to organise so if they havent already started I cant see it happening, also it wont get a good crowd this late in the season.

It was June when the promotion said they were moving it to the end of the season, so they should have had plenty of time to organise.

Why?
It will be the last chance to see any action before the winter, so I should think it would get a good crowd. Also we have Crump now who wasn't available for the original July date, that will draw more fans.

The fact is that these days these kind of meetings dont attract the best crowds and late in october when the weather is iffy most people will stay away, also not many riders will want to ride in it that late in the season.

As for the organisation as we could still have 2 extra meetings left (Ko cup final and Playoff meeting) they as yet wont have a date so cant have any riders agreed to ride and cant see crump riding wiht his injury he will do as little meetings a poss.

As we have until October 31st to run our meetings, how about having the PETER CRAVEN Memorial Trophy right at the end, just like the BLRC we used to have?
The next week after the BLRC, was the Pride Of The East at King's Lynn.

Both meetings contained fields of world final proportions, and played to full houses.

Poland, Sweden, and all points east will be done and dusted by then.

So WOT ABOUT IT BV????

It could even eclipse the 80th birthday meeting from last year.

And how about even giving a couple of bob from this guaranteed winner to Wilkie?

March 2010 is an awful long way for the next meeting should you not consider this licence to print money.

Just a thought lads.

Times have changed, now by mid October most of the top riders especially have switched off and winding down their racing for the winter.
