Ricky Ashworth now into the main body of the Sheffield team, and a 13+2 paid maximum tonight from second string!

Yeah, but he proved on Monday that he can't do it in the Elite League or on a small track.

I guess he proved Ales Dryml can't do it in the Elite League and on a small track too, since he led the home rider for three laps until he hit a rut.

Rob, bear in mind he's still young and learning. Give him a year or two to gain more experience and I'd expect him to be pushing for a second string spot in EL (a) if he has the ambition to progress, and (b) if the EL still exists by then!!

I suspect (b) will be a bigger problem than (a)

I wonder if he will ever learn how to turn a bike. Its much easier for the Kennett's of te world to go & ride a big track after learning on Eastbourne than the other way round.

Yeah but not for very long & has struggled this season to cope with the track, also it was not just aimed at Ashworth.

There have been riders in the past who practiced at BV & then went to a bigger track like Sheffield & stopped riding BV because they 'couldnt get round the bends'.

Yes it didn't help with him riding for Sheffield in the Conference League aswell last year, would have been better to ride for Buxton and get used to small tracks.
