i dont think nat would want the job anyway especially with the abuse that most announcers get just because it does not fall into line with their views and thinking, i think she has enough on her plate with the media side of things without wanting more work on her plate.

however if she did get the offer of announcer and she took the job i think with her knowledge for speedway as a whole with rules , riders and and the confidence with working in the media world u would be hard pressed to find a more suitable candidate.

Paul,

That sounds like the CV of a potential team manager. That vacancy has been filled!

Happy 2005!

Ron.

It is only because the others have been so bad that relatively speaking Brendan seems to be so good....

A new face with Speedway experience would suit me.... a fresh start

Wouldn't want to lose you, old boy, so I'll explain.

I originally meant that suggestion as a jest, but maybe there is something in it.

Desmond is a greatly experienced sports commentator. Maybe he is not a speedway enthusiast but he could undergo job training.
Enthusiasm can come later. It isn't really essential.

Of course he would be expensive but we could share him with Coventry. Tony Mole and Avtar Sandhu sharing the cost 50-50.

Do I jest?

Ron.

Brendan or Nat would do very well I feel as they are consumate professionals and it's about time we had one in the middle at Kirky Lane.

I am amazed by gspot's comments further up this thread which seemed to imply that Terry Hardiker or Billy Butlin Loftus might have been hard done by.Neither got remotely near what could pass as a competent Centre Green Announcer. Go to away tracks and you will soon understand that point.

To be honest no centre green supporter is better than a poor one....

the image portrayed by a poor centre green presenter simply reflects on a poor promotion...

Bvas,

To be honest, no centre green announcer is even better - at Kirky Lane!
