Smile Lancashire Grastrack Marshalling

Hope you do not mind me starting this thread, but as a long term speedway fan I always wanted to get closer to the action and be involved a bit more.
Lancashire Grasstrack has produced many riders for the shale over the years from Joe Screen,Richard Hall, Lee Complin James Wright Josh Auty to name but a few.We are always looking for help and if you fancy marshalling then give me a ring on 07837385557.Our next meeting is this Sunday at Lower Marsh Farm, Station Road Much Hoole.Pleny of action, excellent viewing and only £5 car parking charge (as many occupants as the car holds) and refreshments available. A great day out.Don't forget your Sun tan lotion
Regards
Paul

Speedwaysquash, I used to be a flag boy for the LGTJR.
On occasions, I felt like ramming my flagpole up a rider's south entrance. Even grasstrack riders can think, in their own mind, that they are Ivan Mauger/Tony Rikardssson on a green track.
Some of the big headed tosspots it was my displeasure to deal with (for nowt) were Sean Willmott, who came from Bristol for a LANCASHIRE meeting, Andre Compton, whose dad was worth a few quid.
Peter and Louis Carr and their dad Jack...Just joking lads,
Andy and Paul Smith, were, and are, good mates
Tony Atkin was brilliant on the grass, but far, too far up his own ringpiece to realize that young lads like Carl Stonehewer and Joseph Screen were stealing his thunder.
Now I haven't seen Tony in over twenty years, I saw his "speedway career" with interest, I just hope that now we are all in our forties, he realizes wot a complete
German tanker he made of himself.

Carl Clarke for Prime Minister I say!!!!

TEL
Wots the betting that Tony Atkin will say "WHO????????"

Well Terry you are clearly pretty jaundiced over your experience. I can tell you that the current LJGTRC commitee do not put up with prima donna's. At the end of the day talent can be precocious, take Eubank for example. However my thread was to give some fans a chance to be involved, not get abused and see racing from the inner track and talent spot for the next Joe Screen. Incidentally Tony Atkin is scheduled to ride on Sunday. Hope you are still enjoying your speedway. Regards
